What Causes Pain Inside The Ear?

So yesterday I was using a q-tip to clean inside my inner ear (which I now know that I shouldn't have done that) and then it started to hurt really bad. Then today, I've felt deaf in that same ear but it doesn't hurt anymore. Could you help me and tell me what's wrong and what I should do?

I really appreciate your concern the most common cause of ear pain is fungal infection or wax impaction and third is common cold and cough this gives extreme ear pain, in these situation the best way is to first get done the clinical examination of ear, for to relieve the pain analgesic ear drops can be instilled, hope this information helps you, have a nice day.
