What Causes Pain Months After Spinal Tap Surgery?

i had a spinal tap done on dec 20 cause the drs thought i had lukemia but still havent figured out where it went .... ever since i had this spinal tap i been having pain up my spine ever since i am pain meds for this but like to know why am i having so much pain so many months later?
