What Causes Pain On Inspiration On The Left Side Of Lung Region?

hello i have a pain on inspiration for 4 days in the left side of lung region, not sure if muscle problem i have had this before. However, it is easing slightly but can this cause your upper abdo to swell and cause acid or inflammation, because it feels like its connected around the front rib area. thanks debra

Thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion there are few possibilities for your left sided chest pain.
1. Pleurisy
2. Cardiac cause
3. GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease).
So get done chest x ray to rule out pleurisy.
Get done ECG to rule out cardiac cause.
If both are negative then no need to worry much for cardiac and pulmonary causes.
You are mostly having GERD. It is due to laxity of gastroesophageal sphincter. Because of this the acid of the stomach tends to come up in the esophagus and cause the symptoms.
So start proton pump inhibitor. Avoid stress and anxiety. Avoid hot and spicy food.
Don't worry, you Will be alright.
