What Causes Pain On Left Side Of Body?

I have had a pain on the left side of my body for nearly three months now. It seems to be worse at night. The pain also seems to extend to the front of my chest at times. I have felt slightly dizzy over the last couple of days. Any idea what this could be?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
Pain on left side of body extending to chest raises the suspicion of heart related problem like angina, ischemia etc.
A preliminary ECG is necessary to assess the status of cardiac conduction.
In case the ECG is found to be abnormal, further echocardiography can be done to know the status of cardiac functions.
Even if the ECG is normal, echocardiogram should be done to assess the cardiac chambers and valves.
If all the cardiac functions turn out to be normal, other causes of body ache have to be found out like musculoskeletal pain etc.
Thus, you can first consult a cardiologist for further work up as described above.

Thanks and take care
