What Causes Pain On Left Side Of Jaw And Ear Along With Swollen Lymph Nodes?
Hello. I have seen doctors 3 times in the last 2 weeks. No relief. Please help. Symptoms: Left jaw pain (from ear to front of teeth) Left ear pain Left neck pain Lymph node pain on left of neck and center of neck Extremely painful swallowing and difficulty swallowing Low grade temp for a couple days but gone now. Labs/Treatments so far: 7 days of Ceprozil (done) 7 days of Ciprofloxacn (done) 2 shots of Rocephin Prednisone 10mg x 5 days (60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10) Negative mono test (blood draw) Negative strep test (swabbed) Please help me. I am miserable.

As far as the pain in the jaw, teeth and lymph node is concerned, the possible cause being the wisdom tooth infection which has resulted in pus formation and spread to involve sift tissues. This results in space infection causing difficulty in swallowing. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can take a course of antibiotics like amoxycillin and metronidazole combination (if you are not allergic) which is very effective in teeth infection. I hope I have answered your query.
