What Causes Pain On Left Side Of Upper Chest And Arm Pits?
I have pain on the left side of my upper chest and underarm pit area. I do have a SLAP tear in the adjoining shoulder socket. Its been over two years and I've been checked by a cardiologist to rule out heart problems. I do have high blood pressure, but it does not seem related.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Pain on left side of chest and left armpit could be due to cardiac pain. Assessment of cardiac functions is required to rule out any cardiac ailment. Thus, the cardiac system should be investigated with ECG and echocardiography. If any abnormality is detected on ECG, further stress test and angiography can be done. In case the cardiac investigations are normal, other possibilities have to be ruled out like musculoskeletal disorders. Thus, consult your primary healthcare provider and your cardiologist for further work up.
