What Causes Pain On Right Side Below The Pelvis?

Fully intact 45 y/o female. Excellent health. Very active. Hike, kayak, run, play hard. Pain consistently for six months only on my right side from the pelvis down. Thought it was ovary related, thought it was sciatic nerve. Centralized to one ovary, centralized to right upper/rear pelvis. Pain often shoots down to inner right knee. Beginning to wake me at night. I have a holistic approach to my body.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It may be ovary related if it is in this area.

The sciatic nerve is also an option if you have a history of back or neck injury.
These two are not related.

Since the pain is increasing in its intensity then you may want to consider assessment to determine the cause.
Since it is radiating down the legs, sciatic or other nerve injury should be ruled out first.

This would require physical examination by your doctor and imaging.
The best imaging would be an MRI which would take a look at the bones, ligaments and nerves.
X rays would only show bone changes.

When the cause of the pain is diagnosed , you can direct treatment according to what makes you comfortable.

I hope this helps
