What Causes Pain On Right Side Of Abdomen?

I have pain on the right side of my stomach. I started feeling it several weeks ago and thought it might be from a lingual hernia I had on that same side and also one in my belly button region. I had surgery on Friday to repair the hernia s and feel more discomfort on my right side than I do in spots where I was cut. What could be hurting me as though I have a bruise in that area?
