Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain On Right Side Of Body While Sleeping?
For the last couple of nights when I wake up I have a pain on my right side. It is difficult to stand straight and after urination it feels better. Throughout the day yesterday whenever I had to urinate the pain would come back but go away after urination.
Your pain seems to be due to the following: 1) Cystitis or infection of urinary bladder 2) Urethritis or infection of urethra 3) Any kidney infection 4) Kidney stones
You need to undergo the following tests: 1) Complete urine examination 2) Urine culture and sensitivity 3) Ultrasound imaging of abdomen and pelvis
Please do consult a general physician for thorough clinical examination and initiation of appropriate treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
