Hello,

As it's seen from the symptoms, this sounds as nerve impingement due to abnormal posture. Correction of the posture will help avoid such symptoms again.

Learning proper child handling techniques are important and an OBG physiotherapist can help you with the same.

I will advise you to do hot water fermentation as the muscle must have landed in spasm. Do hot water fermentation for the neck and upper back along with the spine of the scapula region.

Do some simple exercises which can help muscle activate the fibres to undergo stress and strain.

As this pain is often complained by the new mother's it needs just a conservative management of hot water fermentation, gentle massage, and simple exercises.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
