What Causes Pain On The Bottom Of The Foot?

Hello, The other day I was on a ladder cleaning the top of my gazebo. I was more or less balancing on one foot on a rung near the top of the ladder, so my foot was more or less perpendicular to the rung. I m now experiencing pain on the bottom of my foot which seems to be similar to plantar fasciitis. Can this condition be caused by the way I was standing on the ladder?
