What Causes Pain On The Index Finger?

Hello Doctor, I had pain in my index finger for a about a month and the xray report says " Small well defined cyst with sclerosed margin is seen at left lunate bone". I do not see any lumps in my hand. What could be the problem? Is it very serious?. Pls answer
