What Causes Pain On The Left Side Of Chest While Having Chest Infection?

I ve been to see my doctor today and I ve got inner Ear infection and slight chest infection, I had my blood pressure checked and it was ok . I ve now got pain on the left side of my chest and I m a little worried as I ve taken paracetamol and the pain is still there.

Thank you for your question.According to your symptoms it seems this is a respiratory tract infection which has spread to the extent of ear.If your chest pain is increasing in intensity with respiratory movements then that is because of your chest infection only.You have to start antibiotics if you find purulent sputum production or fever or increase in pain.Otherwise it will subside by its own with in 5-7 days if it is of viral origin.Take plenty of water & Steam inhalation to get quick releif.Hope you got the answers.wish you a good health
