What Causes Pain On The Left Side Of The Abdomen During Periods?
Hello, I work for Staples, Inc. and I am having an issue right now at work. I was unsure if this pain was from being constipated the other day, but I am not now and it is continuing: It is high up on left side. I am menstruating, however, I have NEVER experienced such pain in my upper left abdomen. Painful cramps, tightening, then releasing, every 5 or so minutes.... It has been 2 days
Hello and thanks you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein and I will try to help you as much as I can with my answer.
It may be that cyst is formed on left ovary so during period this may be more painful so you should do transvaginal ultrasound to rule cyst out. Other possible causes are diverticulitis and IBS. So at this point you should take nonsteroid painkillers and observe. If this persist you should do colonoscopy and ct scan. I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
