What Causes Pain On The Left Side Of The Neck?

The left side of my neck hurts very bad when I rub on my neck & swallow this just started today. I am not running a fever 97.5 , is there anything I can take or do to make the systems better. It also feels better when I drink cold drinks , what is weird is the pain is only on my left side though

Hi,

The pain may be due to minor contusions. As the first line of management, you can take analgesics like Tramadol for pain relief. If symptoms persist, you can consult a physician and get evaluated.
