What Causes Pain On The Lower Left Side In Hysterectomy And Diabetes Patient?
I have severe pain on my lower left side. I can't determine the general location. At first I thought it was my hip but felt like in my back kidney but now it feels like lower left pelvic area. I had a full hysterectomy in 2009 and I have type 2 diabetes. I have experienced swelling in my left ankle /foot the past 2 weeks. My blood pressure meds was changed during that period to generic.
** Thanks for contacting HCM with your health concern.
1. Abdominal pain in type 2 diabetic could be due to diabetes related complication like neuritis, motor disease of the gastro intestinal tract and/or autonomic dysfunction, so check with an Endocrinologist [Diabetologist] for further examination.
PS. one should exclude CMI [chronic mesentric ischemia] as cause of chronic abdominal pain
2. If pain is felt in the pelvis area then consider it as an emergency since it could be due to ovarian torsion, so initially check with emergency department for sonography and later discuss with general surgeon and with Gynecologist.
3. swelling could be due to side effect of the changed drugs or due to reduced cardiac output or kidney function, please consult a Cardiologist for that.
