What Causes Pain On The Lower Left Side Of The Abdomen?

I have developed a dull pain on my lower left side. It has lasted for 3 days and is not getting better or worse. The pain is a dull ache but it is not going away. I feel full and very thirsty. I have no pain or problems during urination. My temperature is 99.4.

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, you need to have ultrasound pelvis and KUB ultrasound. Urinalysis may also be required. Symptoms are more of ureteric colic than due to gastric issues however ultrasound will rule out and afterwards antispasmodic like drotaverine and OTC analgesic like acetaminophen can be used.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
