What Causes Pain On The Right Side Of The Head And Neck?

When moving my head, moderate pain on right side from top of head to upper part of neck (occasional). Feels sensitive (dull pain when touched) back of jaw, front of right ear and temple area. Feels like muscular tissue is slightly swollen. No physical injury noted. Also noted the pain (top of head) is moderate when making facial expressions. ADVIL helps some. This pain been off & on for the past 7 days. What could be the best diagnosis??

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Possibility of musculoskeletal pain is more likely as your pain is associated with movements.
So take painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs twice daily.
Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated.
Use soft pillow for neck support.
Avoid sudden jerky movements of neck.
Wear cervical collar.
Apply warm water pad on affected areas of neck.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these in 1 week.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
