What Causes Pain On The Scalp When Diagnosed With Heat Stroke?

I think i may have had a slight heat stroke the other day. I spoke with an emt that gave me pointers about rest and hydration. Since that event I have had an area on my scalp that is painful and hot to touch but that is the only area of concern. I just went to the er and they said it appears I have a nerve or vessel that seems to have burst. They said take ibuprofen and be aware of changes. Im real confused here.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

1. Avoid sun exposure and take rest for 7-10 days.
2. Apply ice on the affected part twice daily.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for 5-7 days.
4. Watch for other symptoms like vomiting, giddiness, nausea and consult a neurologist if such symptoms occur.

Thanks.
