What Causes Pain On The Shoulder Blade After Recovering From Bronchitis?

I am just finishing up a two week out with a bad cold and bronchitis. I am still coughing a bit and still am coughing up loose phlegm. i am defiinitely much better. However, over the past few days I have developed some shooting pain in my back on the right side under the shoulder blade (as though I have pulled a muscle) and some skin sensitivity on my right breast corresponding with the pain under my shoulder blade. any thoughts?

Hello,

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persists better to consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan for further assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
