What Causes Pain On The Side Of The Head After Having Head Injury?

My 9 yr old son fell of a bike Saturday morning hit side of his head, he cried a ice pack was applied he had no sickness or loss of vision was normal had a headache about 12 hrs later. His dad gave him calpol and it went away.but am worried as hit side of his Temple no Bruze or has come out has a slight bump is normal sleeping eating playing normal but is saying his head hurts a bit and is sore am worried should I take him hospital as hit side of his head.

The pain can be because of the trauma or because of fractured bone. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral and maxillofacial surgeon and get it evaluated. You need to get a radiograph done to confirm the diagnosis. Mean while you can continue the pain killers.
