What Causes Pain On The Side Of The Right Hip After Running?

Hi. I m having right hip discomfort, hurts on the side of my hip. It doesn t hurt when I run daily but afterwards it s achy. If I lean to my left side bending at hip it feels like a tight rubber and pulling but that helps relieve the aching temporarily . I ve had it for months, what could it be?

Hello,

Possible causes are like iliotibial band syndrome, arthritis, avascular necrosis of the head or muscle spasm etc.

Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is. Please get an X-ray/MRI of the hip joint then consult your orthopedician, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.
