What Causes Pain Under Ribcage In Case Of Bronchial Infection?

I got a bronciol infection 3 weeks ago, the Dr gave me an antibiotic (10 day), predisone (5 tablets) and a couch syrup with codine. I was coughing so roughly and started having pain under my ribcage, close to the middle right side to stomach and the pain goes to the back. My cough has gotten a lot better after the meds have been completed. Why is this happening...I mentioned this to the Dr and she took an xray to see if I have pnemounia or a cracked rib...there was neither.

Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you should not worry about infection as your chest x ray is normal. The pain must be due to musculoskeletal reason. Bronchitis cause excessive coughing to cough out sputum. These excessive coughing cause lower rib muscle and abdomen muscle pain due to excessive work and forceful contractions. So take simple painkillers for this as this seams only muscular pain.
