What Causes Pain Under The Arm With Low Heart Rate?

Hi my husband had a heart attack just over 2 years ago, he is now complaining of pain under his right arm which he says is the same pain he experienced before but this was under his left arm. We have taken his heart rate and this is reading 52 is this normal or should we be seeking medical advice.

Hi ,

As per your complain I will answer two things ,

One for pain , because its is very evident from your husband past history of heat attack you should not waste your time. Visit one of the hospital were cardiac emergency services are available and get an ECG done to rule out any pre cardiac attack features, but do not forget to carry all your past records and ECG latest one .

Second, your husband will be taking beta blocker and this can be a cause of slow heart rhythm but one should also understand that it could be a feature of heart block which occurs post heart attacks,so again ECG needed to be done here as soon as possible .

Thanks
