What Causes Pain Under The Breast On The Left Side?

I m hurting on the left side and behind and under my breast. Hurts really bad when I take deep breaths and when I cough or sneeze. I went to the doctor and they seem to have a hard time deciding if I have shingles or pleurisy. How will I know for sure and which to treat?

Hello,

Most probably it will be due to musculoskeletal causes like costochondritis. As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief.
