What Causes Pain Under The Breast?

For a few days I have been experiencing pain under my left breast. Sometimes the pain goes around to my back. It hurts the most when I lay on my stomach at night. I went to doctor and had chest X-rays but no results yet. The doctor also gave me naproxen but it really does not take away the pain.

Hello,

Given the location and characteristics of the pain, possible pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas) need to be ruled out.
Lab investigations including Serum Amylase, lipase levels are needed at this point. Depending on initial screening results a CT abdomen may be needed.
Please follow up with your primary provider for needed investigation.

Hope this answers your question
