Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have pain in the back and under side of my left arm. I had some heart blockage a year ago in a small left artery treated with daily medication. I also have had shingles many times and it always begins in my left arm. I have taken blood pressure. 149 over 98. I have had the pain for about 10 days and have taken my anti inflammatory meds for shingles thinking that s what it was but it won t go away...what should I do?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Thanks for asking. I understand your concern. You should consult your cardiologist to rule out/ confirm heart involvement followed by treatment earliest. If that is taken care of/ excluded the major tension being relieved, the pain can be managed very well with routine majors ( medicines, injection, physiotherapy).. as per need .. Thanks.
