What Causes Pain Under The Left Ribs After An Injury?

My nephew is in hosp after fall from height he has pain under left ribs when even small cough - he is also losing blood from somewhere - becoming anaemic - was transfused yesterday still very weak. Just woke up with sudden realisation could be spleen? They say maybe fracture of rib? He has other broken bones.

Hello,

A chest X-ray can confirm the broken ribs.

For further evaluation a CT scan is needed to confirm that the source of hemorrhage.

I suggest ti go at the emergency room for a specific treatment.
