What Causes Pain Under The Left Side Of Ribs And Nausea?
I have a pain under my ribs on my left side. If I stretch out it isn t as painful, but sitting or bending makes it worse. It feels as if a rod is poking me from the inside. I have seen a GI specialist, but they were unable to find anything. I am taking nexium everyday and a medicine for nausea. I feel nauseous everyday more at night. This has been happening since October.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain under the left side of ribs and nausea . Well there can be many reason for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case the symptoms can probably occur due to two reasons like it can occur due to cardiac problem like angina or secondly the symptoms can occur due to acid reflux disease . Due to dysfunction of esophageal sphincter . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist for proper examination . Doctor may order ECG, TMT , complete blood profile and troponin t test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe isosorbid nitrate , aspirin , sedative and betablockers . Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterologist if he/she find problem to be related with acid reflux . For now avoid eating spicy , atke over the counter antiemetic drug and heavy food and take proper rest .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
