What Causes Pain Under The Ribs And Excessive Burping?

Hi, My husband has convinced himself that he has pancreatic cancer. He has pain under his rib, to his back on th left side, burps a lot, has frequent bowel movement after every meal. His PA prescribed omprezole for him, told him it was gastritis, and did an h pylori test that was negative. He says the medication hasn t helped. He will see his regular doctor this week. He is extremely depressed and I am not sure what to do. Are there more symptoms than these?

Hi,

I do not think such symptoms point towards pancreatic cancer . You should give Omeprazole more time and if it doesn't work you can see the physician again.
