What Causes Pain Under The Ribs On The Right Side?

I have liver pain on right site under ribs, I was taking some medications for ulcerative colitis asacol 4 pills 800 mg each, on Friday I took 2 times new medication xifaxan 550 mg & Tylenol twice 1 pill, cause I have temperature for few weeks. After taking my pills on Saturday in the morning I got severe pain in liver area & I have this pain up to now. Since Saturday I don t take any medications. My gastroenterology doctor office moved & can t get any help right now. I have bentyl at home, but I am not sure that it will be helpful?

Hello,

It maybe due to conditions like costochondritis. As a first line management you can take analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol for pain relief. If symptoms persist it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
