Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a pain right in the center of my chest, under my ribs. I thought it was heartburn, i took OTC meds for heartburn, no relief. its tender when i touch it, it hurts a little. The pain is on the inside. I have gas and have been burping a lot, not normal for me.
From your history, I think it is a case of GERD with oesophagitis. Recurrent regurgitation of acid leads to inflammation in lower end of esophagus which can even appear tender while touching. I would suggest you to consult with a Gastro specialist and get an endoscopy done if required.
I hope this helps. Thank you
