What Causes Pain Upon Turning While Suffering From ALS?

My husband has ALS; but recently has been having difficulty getting comfortable because of a burning, tingling pain that seems to start mainly when lying down. He finds some relief when sitting up in certain positions. Since he is unable to turn himself in bed or stand, it is very difficult to find any relief. Could this be a form of neuropathy?

Hi,

As per the features you described it does seem like a neuropathy. You should get back to his neurologist and get some help for the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
