What Causes Pain While Breathing After Waking Up?

Hello, I am a male 29 years old. Almost every morning I wake up and take my first breath I get pain internally. After, I take that initial breath the pain stops. One other thing that I have been noticing is when I brush my tongue sometimes I gag and I spit out blood. First it started with just a small amount of blood but as the days go by I notice more. And it is only in the mornings. During the day I am perfectly fine. Any thoughts? I will be doing a doctors visit soon.

Thanks for your question on HCM.
Coughing out blood during brushing teeth can be seen in
1. Dental problems.
2. Pulmonary Disease.
So first consult dental surgeon to rule out dental causes like caries or decaying tooth.
If this is normal than get done chest x ray to rule out pulmonary cause.
Since you are having chest pain on breathing with blood in cough, you may have pneumonia. So chest x ray is must.
If this is also normal then no need to worry much.
You may have muscular cause for your chest pain.
So take good painkiller and muscle relaxant.
