What Causes Pain While Coughing During Pregnancy?

I have had a bad cough for a week. i am 33 weeks pregnant and last night when i coughed i felt a popping in my right side followed by pain in just that area. The pain has not gone away and when i cough it hurts. i have to put my leg up to my chest when i cough or else it hurts. could the placenta detach from my uttering wall? i have no bleeding or cramping

1) Placenta does not detach with coughing. Dont worry.

2) The pain is because of pressure on abdomen.
