What Causes Pain While Swallowing Along With Nausea?
For a few days I have been having pain when I swallow. Nausea yesterday, but on more. No appetite and drink very little water or other as pain starts in upper chest and get more intense as it gets to the bottom of rib cage. Also some pain in right shoulder blade may or may not be related. Some pain constant just under bottom of right rib cage. Much worse when swallow solid food. Have only had a little water and a couple glasses chocolate milk the last 3 days.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It may be due to gall bladder problem because it can lead to such thing like pain in right hypochondrium, which mainly aggravates by solid food specially fatty foods and it can lead to shoulder pain that is called referred pain. Get USG abdomen done and take treatment accordingly.
I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions. Regards, Dr. Bhadresh Lakhani
