What Causes Pain While Swallowing Post An Antibiotic Treatment For Painful Tonsils?
I had tonsils a week ago and a doctor prescribed an antibiotic the following day i was feel much better could even eat well now my problem is there is still some pain especially when i swallow saliva and more so in the morning when i wake up am also having sharp pain in my stomach. What Could be the problem cox its now a week and a half. Thank you
Because you have both stomach pain and sore throat this may be due to acid refulx and its local effect on the throat. I would recommend you to take Omeprazole 20 mg twice a day and try to eat frequent small amount of food during the day and avoid big meals and plenty of fluids especially in the second part of the day. Don't eat 3-4 hours before bed.
If no improvement with these please see your doctor.
I hope I have answered to your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
