What Causes Painful And Cloudy Urination?

i have had chronic urinary problems for years. Recently I have had very cloudy urine which tests posative for red blood cells and is very painful when urinating and causes urgency and frequency. However, when cultured, it comes back negative for bacteria. What could be causing this?

Hello,

Since culture is negative, interstitial cystitis needs to be ruled out. Urine analysis, ultrasound and cystoscopy are required to confirm the diagnosis.
