Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has chronic frequent urination and pain immediately after he goes as if his bladder is not empty ever - so the pain and pressure is constant He has seen many doctors and they all tell him it is just old age He is going in to see his GP this Friday - is there anything he can say to him to get some sort of comprehensive test that will check for ALL possible symptoms and/or treatments? He is not overweight at Age 66 and this has been a 15 year problem that stared with him taking a fat blocking supplement that caused an infection and blood clots in his penis - the doctors did not know what to do so they put him on an antibiotic and the rest is history He is on high blood pressure medicine He is in denial about his condition and says there is nothing that can be done He is on Flomax and hysterical if his prescription runs out He has been to Drs at GT University Medical Center and they did scopes, etc. and said it is all in his mind Any suggestions?
With severe frequency of urination, I doubt for all reports to be normal. It sounds as chronic urethritis or neurologic issue.
A detailed work up with CT IVP, uroflowmetry and ascending urethrogram are the gold standard methods to diagnose the issue.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel, General and Family Physician
