What Causes Painful And Sore Bump On Labia Minora After Having Sex?

2 days ago, I had rough sex. Immediately following (5-10 mins later) I went to the bathroom and it burned really bad to pee. Next morning (yesterday) I looked a found a bump that s very sore on my labia minora. Still hurts to touch and pee. Is this just friction related or should I be worried? (This also would be on my period if I didn t have the arm implant contraception).

Hi, I fully empathize your discomfort.

There could be different reasons for the discomfort you are having:

1. As you have mentioned and are suspecting that there could be soreness or deep tissue trauma due to the rough sexual act you had. If there is any blood collection under the skin, it will pain.

2. You could have caught some infection, mostly sexually transmitted infection which can cause such symptoms.

3. Did he use condom? The condom is made of latex rubber. If this touches urinary opening it causes swelling of the inner lining of urinary path leading to initially irritation, pain and burning urination and later on urinary infection.

What ever is the pathology, you need to observe abstinence from the sexual activity for some time and allow the lesion to heal.

Please report to your Gynaecologist for correct diagnosis and treatment. Meanwhile, you may apply some antibiotics ointment locally.

I hope you have got the guidance.
