What Causes Painful And Swollen Glands Under Chin?

I have swollen glands in my chin. They hurt with just the slightest touch. My mouth also hurts. I feel like every tooth and my gum line in my mouth hurts. it painful to chew on anything. my entire body is aching along with head pressure (headache). over the counter meds seem to not be helping. I'm not sure if its dental related or flu related. Should I seek an urgent care?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain painful and swollen glands under the chin can be swollen submental lymph odes and can be due to infection in head and neck region or any part of body..
Pain in teeth and gums and difficulty in chewing seems to be due to deeper infection in gums leading to Periodontitis and swollen lymph nodes can also be due to it..
Body aches and headache can also be due to infection reaching in blood and it can lead to rise in temperature of body, pains and muscle aches and lethargy..
I would suggest you to consult a General Physician and get evaluated and he can advise a blood test to rule out for infection as well as a lymph node biopsy can be diagnostic.
You should also consult an Oral Physician and along with clinical examination he can also advise you full mouth x ray to rule out the cause and treatment can be planned accordingly..

Hope this information helps.

Thanks and regards.
