What Causes Painful And Tight Vagina During Intercourse?

I have been intimate with my boyfriend for a straight year. Then we split our ways for a year, I didn t have intercourse in that break. Now we are back together and it hurts too much to have sex. My obgyn said that the skin rips and it should heal by itself but it still has not and now sex burns and its too tight inside even. She also mentioned that i don t produce a lot of estrogen and recommended lube. Sex is not enjoyable anymore, I don t get turned on and it even hurts to put on a tampon. Anyone know why?

Hello,

I think you should take lubricants.Being in menopause and with lack of estrogens or using tamoxifen and other anti-estrogens can cause this situation. In this case you may need to use HRT.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
