What Causes Painful Blood Blisters On The Leg?
Hi I took my to the dr twice andthe hospital twice in two weeks the last time I took her to the hospital they found blood clots all up and down her right leg. . She was in the hospital a week. Now she has no pain in her right leg but has pain in her left leg. . She is in pain all the time .I took her back to the dr he says blood clots don t hurt. And said he would see her in 6 weeks. I am not happy with this my mom is 86 I know when something isn t right. Please could you try to give me a answer.

Not all blood blisters are harmful but some might be. If your mom is diabetic, help her keep the blood sugar levels under control.
1. Diabetes may trigger blood blisters & may also cause it to get infected. 2. Blood blisters may get formed due to allergic reactions, bleeding disorders, nutritional deficiencies.
3. Blood disorders are also caused by alcohol intake, help her stay away from addictions if any.
4. Skin diseases like Melanomas may sometimes present as blood blisters. Watch for any inflammation around the blister.
Stay vigilant, it may be just a harmless blood blister, but get her physically examined by a dermatologist to rule out any sign of Melanoma to be on the safer side. Get her investigated & treated at the earliest.
