What Causes Painful Bruise On Upper Thigh After A Hit?

Was playing soccer, collided with another player, his leg hit my upper thigh hard and two days later, even though it's very painful, a TINY little bruise shows up, I'm confused even though I don't bruise very easily.....it feels like half of my thigh should be a bruise. I'm just wondering if it's dangerous to not bruise...if the blood is going elsewhere?
