What Causes Painful Bruising On The Ball Of The Foot Post Injury?

I had an auto accident 3 weeks ago and last week noticed a a pain under my left foot ball of foot and saw it was small tender bluish pebble size blood vessel clog or something. I did have side whiplash, never had any foot trouble in my past. What doctor should I see about this? Need a no-fault one under insurance check up on health from accicident.

Hi,

Since you had accidental injury in foot, this painful bluish spot on heel is more suggestive of internal injury. So better to consult orthopedic doctor and get done clinical examination, X-ray and MRI of foot for the diagnosis of internal injury.

Avoid weight bearing, apply ice packs, take painkiller like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
