Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a small bump (looks similar to a pimple) near the crease of my inner thigh. It is very painful to touch and when I popped it, it released a yellowy white puss. I shave regularly and replace my razor atleast 3 times a month. I'm 18, 5'9, I play sports and wear jeans often.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of painful bump inside the inner thigh which could be due to clogging of sebaceous glands with dead bacteria and sebum as excessive glands are there. It is due to bacterial infection of thigh area which is leading to folliculitis and could be die to boil/ furuncle. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to keep the area clean and maintain proper hygiene and dryness. Wash properly with cold water. You should take oral antibiotics as well. apply topical antibacterial cream such as 2% mucoprin. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. You can go for peeling as well. You should wear loose clothes and avoid sharing clothes.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
