What Causes Painful Bump On The Arm?

Hi I have a small puss filled bump on my inner left arm. It suddenly appeared and has been there for 3 days. It is painful and there is red swelling sorounding the spot. I have cleaned it with saline water twice a day however it is still there and dosnt seem to be getting any better. What exactly could it be? Thank you. Miss kk.

Hi,

As per your query you have symptoms of a painful bump on the arm which occurs due to hair follicle infection and leading to folliculitis.

Need not to worry. Apply Adapalene gel once at night. Take antibiotic like azithromycin. Maintain complete hygiene of the area. If the condition doesn't improve in a month then consult a dermatologist for proper evaluation. The doctor may prescribe hydroquinone cream, retinoids. You should wash the area with Neutrogena oil free. Wash these areas with mild soap and cold water twice a day.
