What Causes Painful Bump Outside Vagina?

Im 37 yrs old an i have a bump right on the outside of my vaginia its causing a little pain, it did have a tiny little blood come out just like a dot, im a plus size woman im not sure if that makes any difference down there, but im just wondering can it be a bartholins cists or is that not possible being where its located
