Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have painful bump under the skin after piercing belly button which seems to be due to localized infection and could be due to improper cleanliness of jewellary.

Need not to worry. Maintain cleanliness of the area. You should apply combination of hydroquinone + Tretinoin + steroid and apply it at night time. Drink plenty of water. Apply aloe vera gel. If condition doesn't get well in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like minocycline, steroid ointment.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
