What Causes Painful Bumps On The Outer Vagina And Under Arms?

Hi, I have 3 bumps/bubbles on the right side of my outter vagina, they don t really ever go away. They seem to fill up with fluid, pop, heal, go flat and then fill up again within a couple days or weeks. (Sometimes it takes longer than a couple weeks for then to fill up again) At times they can grow to either a dime or quarter size and can be really painful and tender to the touch. Sometimes they just fill up a little and then go back down. I sometimes get them on the other side of my outter vagina but mostly on my right. I m so scared I might have herpes. I also get what seems to be the same kind of painful bumps under my arms that also burst and are painful. Can these be related? Also the feeling of these bumps/bubbles can be different, at times they re hard and at other times they re softer.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello!
Thank you for asking Healthcaremagic!
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
Answer: Vaginal bumps are similar to bumps under your arms, but more painful.
The most common cause of these bumps is a bacterial infection in vaginal area, as moist and sweaty area is most favorable for bacteria to grow their colonies.
Infected hair follicles are clogged with bacteria, white blood cells and pus.

I advice you to visit a doctor earliest to get these bumps diagnosed. This is to rule out other similar looking conditions like herpes and other SexualTransmitedDiseases and then treat them.
Keep the area clean and dry. Do not apply harsh soaps or detergents to this region. Wear loose cotton panties only. Other fabrics do not soak the sweat produced in that area and hence aid in pimple formation.Don't pop up the bumps it may cause deep infection.
Hope my answer was helpful!
